Burton Road recently took part in a public speaking competition, which was part of the Great Childhood Ambition. We really value public speaking, as Oracy is a pre-cursor for Literacy and helps prepare our young people for life, by having the ability to speak confidently to an audience.

The poetry slam is the perfect opportunity for this, with pupils both performing and writing their own piece to perform in front of a large audience. Well done to all our pupils!
