    Thu 11 Feb 2021

    Dear Parents/Guardians

Covid Testing – Positive Cases Confirmed after Friday 12th February 2021

Please note it is important that should a pupil test positive for Covid-19, having developed symptoms within 48 hours of being in school, the school should be contacted immediately via the School Gateway App.  School staff will check the app on a daily basis up until Thursday 18th February.  If a positive case is reported, the school will issue contact tracing instructions provided by NHS Test and Trace.

  • Staying Safe over Half Term

    Thu 11 Feb 2021

    Staying safe over half term

With a well deserved break from school next week, we want everyone to be able to have fun and enjoy the half term holidays safely. Please see below the message from the Local Authority:

“While you’re planning your half term activities please be mindful of the current guidelines in place to keep yourself and your families safe. When you’re in an outdoor public area, keep your distance from other households and remember to regularly wash your hands especially if you’re using outdoor play areas."

As part of the guidance in place, household mixing isn’t allowed and this includes the children your child goes to school with, please only use your childcare bubbles during this time to stop further transmission of the virus. There are still plenty of activities that are safe for families over this break, keep your eye out on the Barnsley Council social media pages for the Healthy Holidays programme and this month's ‘Febru-welly’ activity which might spark some inspiration.

  • Current Government and BMBC Restrictions

    Wed 03 Feb 2021

    Good Morning,

Please remember that as per Government and BMBC regulations,  children are not able to meet up with friends outside of school, even if they are in the same school bubble.

We know this time is hard and everyone will be missing socialising with their friends, but we all need to do our bit to help stop the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Please also note that if your child has a ‘Critical Worker’ school place, and they are seen to be socialising outside, then the school has the right to temporarily suspend your child’s place for a period of 10 days for isolation/quarantine requirements.  Subsequently the place could be permanently withdrawn if multiple breaches of regulations are reported.

Thanking you for your attention to this matter and for your continued support.

    Yours sincerely

    M S Harris

    Headteacher.
