Welcome to Class 10
"You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem and smarter than you think " A.A Milne
Hello and a warm welcome to our Class 10 page. Helping you to be the best learners you can be are: Mrs O'Brien, Miss Sixsmith and Mrs Cook.
This year we have lots of exciting learning planned and we can't wait to get started.
To begin the year, we will start by looking at the artist Antony Gormley. We will be looking at the type of art work he produces and have a go at recreating some of his pieces thinking about the techniques and skills he would have used to create them. Following on from our art topic, we will then be learning all about the Tudors!
In science we will be learning all about inheritance and evolution and thinking about how animals evolve over time in order to survive.
As always, we are keen readers in Class 10. We love to hear what books you have read and are always eager to hear what books you recommend so please make sure you keep reading both in school and at home.
Our PE days are Monday with Mr Hawksworth and Thursday with Mrs O'Brien so please make sure you come to school in your full PE kit on these days.
Field for the British Isles- this week Class 10 have had a go at using their sketching skills to capture this amazing piece of art work created by our artist of interest, Antony Gormley.
Class 10 have had a great time this week in DT finalising their designs and testing out their creations in the hall.
This week we have loved using the clay to replicate some of the figures created by Antony Gormley in his- Field for the British Isle sculpture.
