History is the story of being human. We aim to inspire our pupils' curiosity to know more about the past, about what came before us and how it has shaped the world today, developing the skills they need to succeed in 21st century Britain along the way.

Burton Road Primary School itself is steeped in history. From our Edwardian building, evidence of Barnsley's proud industrial past is right on our doorstep.
