Tour de Yorkshire is coming! To celebrate we have enjoyed creating artwork to form part of a display in St Mary's church. The display can be viewed from the 4th May for one week.
Brilliant Barnsley Tourist Office is now open! Call in and ask our helpful staff and resident Super Hero Big Brave Bill about all the fantastic opportunities Barnsley offers!
Who could have left these items in our classroom?
Brilliant Barnsley!
Big Brave Bill left us some gifts to kick off our new learning theme Brilliant Barnsley! As a big Yorkshire tea drinker he thought we would like a try and so we did! We have enjoyed painting Big Brave Bill this afternoon, we are looking forward to more learning with him as this week goes on!
We have enjoyed writing 'How to build a den' instructions as part of our literacy learning and even wrote an email to Bear Grylls for further advice! To finish this learning, we followed our instructions to build our den. We had our very own Bear Grylls, Mr Gaunt, to help us on a very windy day!
Den building fun!

We have enjoyed investigating this afternoon finding the answer to the question ‘What material would be suitable to use as a roof for a den?’ We definitely wanted to choose a material to keep us dry.
Classes 2 and 3 have been working hard to create delicious treats for the people we love. We hope you enjoy the finished results!
Exciting Explorers!

Christopher Columbus came into school today to tell us all about his expeditions and discoveries.
We got the chance to taste some of the delicious fruits that Christopher Columbus brought back from his voyages. We discussed the smell, look, feel and taste of pineapples, papaya, avocado and tomatoes.
