History Topic
This term our new topic is 'Invasions and Battles'.
To start off, this week you have a quick question sheet to check what you may already know. When we do these in school we don't do any teaching beforehand. We read the questions to the children and then allow them to write down their answer without any prompts. It's a nice to look back on this at the end of the topic to see how much the children learned throughout the term.
Another little task for this topic that you can start doing is collecting materials such as cardboard boxes(different sizes), toilet roll tubes, paper, pens and any other items you think might be useful for creating a 3D building (I'm not letting slip what type of building just yet). We will be doing this in a few weeks time so you have plenty of time to collect things.
Click on the PDF below to answer the questions.
History Makers
As part of our history makers topic we have really enjoyed learning about Florence Nightingale and all the important things she did. To finish our focus on Florence Nightingale, Class Four have created their very own lamps just like the ones that she carried around during her nursing.
We really enjoyed all the fun at the Halloween Disco!
We have really enjoyed the last two weeks of learning out about the artist Vincent van Gogh and have produced some fantastic pieces of art.
We were very proud to show off our artwork in the 'Who is the Greatest Artist?' assembly on Friday. Well done, Class Four!
