Literacy 12/10/20
Please click on the link below to find the literacy lesson for today. It is all about how to use an apostrophe for possession and knowing when there needs to be an s after the apostrophe, and when one isn't needed. For example: The boy's shoes. = The shoes belonging to the boy. The boys' shoes. = The shoes belonging to the boys.
No worksheet is needed as the examples are all contained in the video. You just need a pencil and paper to write the sentences down.
Maths 12/10/20
Below you will find a video PowerPoint which talks through how to solve the questions. It will ask you to pause it at different points and then have a go at some of the questions. It will then continue with some more challenging questions. Welcome to Class 7
This year we hope to help you learn by capturing your imaginations, inspiring you, challenging you and having lots of fun along the way.
Dear Class 7,
I hope that you and your families have enjoyed the summer break and that you are all well, feeling refreshed and ready to go! It's been a funny old year so far and I know that most of you have not been in school since March so you may be feeling a bit nervous about returning to school. Please don't worry! We are here to help you settle in to the new routines, make new friends and meet up with old friends. We have lots of fun learning to do starting with some great art work and I can't wait to get started! We will also start by revising some of those key literacy and numeracy skills that you may have forgotten.
Those of you who know me, know that I love to read and we'll be enjoying some fabulous books throughout the year.
Check out the pictures below to see what our classroom looks like including our fabulous reading corner! You'll notice that the desks are in rows which is a bit different to what you may be used to, but we'll all soon get used to that.
Mrs Nuckley and Mrs Parfitt will be helping us all in class 7 this year and we can't wait to get to know some of you properly and see how some of you have grown since last time we taught you!
See you on the 2nd September.
Mrs France, Mrs Nuckley and Mrs Parfitt
